| The Kern River Valley what a fantastic place to live in or visit.
There are so many places to see so many things to do. Boating, Fishing, Camping, Hiking,
Nature walks, also great Hunting. We the people that live here in the Kern River Valley
are glad to call this our home. We are a very versatile people here but thats ok
because there is something for everyone, young or mature. This time of the year when the breeze blows a little crisper, the
sun sets a little earlier and we see hunters gearing up we know summer is almost over.
Hunting is a very popular sport here in the
Kern River Valley. Hunters come from many different states to hunt game here and
were very proud of that fact. Another fact we are proud of is that our accidents are
at a very low percentage. As we all know to get a license to hunt you must take a, Hunter
Safety Course. After passing this course a certificate is issued to prove compliance of
the rules and regulations then, you may acquire a Hunting license. I was very fortunate
just lately to talk with one of the three gentlemen, that teach this course. His name is
Mr. Flip Chimnitzer. He is a retired Federal Bureau of Investigation Gun Safety Expert,
and has taught many classes on this subject. Who better, to be taught by than an expert?
This class does more than just teach us
about gun safety. It is an involved class that we could all benefit from, even if we
dont carry a gun, and just enjoy being in the woods.
